Are you enchanted by beads? Are you just begining your adventure with bead embroidery? Are you admiring different projects and telling yourself it looks complicated? Don’t be discouraged! Start with something small, not demanding and not time-consuming. What about earrings?
Recycling? I’m in! – necklaces made of tights
If somebody told me a few yeras ago that I made a necklace using tights I would laugh in his face, but today? Today, I made a necklace using tights, in other words a recycling in full swing 🙂
4in1 – peyote, ladder, brick and herringbone stitch in one necklace
Everything started with turquoise cabochon. I have never embroidered with a peyote stitch and decided that bezeling the cabochon would be a perfect begining. A small cabochon pendant bezeled with beads – it was supposed to be a quick and easy project, it was supposed to be…but was it? Check that out 🙂
Challenge – Twisted Tubular Herringbone Rope
After the bead crochet, here comes a new challenge – herringbone stitch. It wasn’t planned from the very beginning, I haven’t made the list of techniques and stitches I’m going to learn. I just try out the things I come across, that is the things I like:) You are welcome to join me in my first encounter with herrigbone stitch.
Something from nothing – boho necklace
I’m the kind of person who thinks thoroughly about the things she throws away, because you never know how and when the things can become of any use to you. However don’t worry, my house has not yet turned into a rubbish dump and I’m not addicted to rubbish collecting, let’s say that for now I’m only an harmless domestic hamster;) It often happens that it’s a pity to get rid of some things just like that, you can always give them a second life, right?
A safety pin jewel – say what?!
A box of safety pins in my closet…lying around all those years…useless……oh! I wish…!:/ the hardest thing in making today’s necklace was buying the package of safety pins, can you imagine!? I couldn’t … Wandering around from shop to shop, the only thing I noticed was that they were neither in numbers I wanted nor at the price I thought pins should be, however I found them in the end. What a relief!
Polish folklore T-shirt
Polish traditional folk ornaments are beautiful, eye-catching and full of colours. I thought – why the heck not wear it?! I had a quick look through different patterns and there was the one I wanted to see on my T-shirt. I decided to paint it…how hard can it be, right?
