Easter eggs, bunnies, and lambs everywhere, needles to say it’s Easter-ish, family-ish, spring-ish and colourful, even the weather is beautiful 🙂 but at U Morisa…. hmmm….at U Morisa it seems like the Halloween is back 😉
Do not worry, it isn’t like that, I just wanted to show you one of my first projects. Below spider is made from beads, jeweller’s wire, and mineral – volcanic lava used for abdomen. I made it because I was curious how it will go, a minute after I had noticed this photo tutorial. You know how it is when you are a beginner at something, you would like to try out everything at the same time. The spider itself was supposed to be an earring or a pendant. Some of the wire was wasted, because it wasn’t easy, however it’s always like that at the begining, it goes smoothier later on. It definitely is not a piece of art, but here it is and I can share it with you, besides it inspired me to take on a new initiative.
When I want to create something and I have to idea how and where to begin, just as every amateur, I start to search the Internet to find tutorials, cause it is the only way to learn some new beading skill on my own. However you cannot put an equal sign between two defferent tutorials. It often happens that I use one tutorial for the first part of my project and I need to look for another one for the second part of the project as that part was not clearly explained in the first tutorial. Anyway, it doesn’t mean that the first one was useless, I appreciate each of them, cause they are a great source of knowledge, they show and explain things in a different way, which can be an advantage. We have to be aware of the fact that people who has mastered some skills and would like to teach them, unconsciously omit some steps during the process of explanation, cause those steps are obvious for them, but they are not for a layman. I’m at athe begining of my beading adventure, so there is a lot of tutorials to watch and study ahead of me, that is way I’ve decided to start the TUTORIALOWO series – where I will challenge myself to create new projects using the tutorials found on the Internet, and then depending on the results I will try to rate the tutorial and recommend it. I hope you will find it useful and it will help you to save some time browsing the Internet for a given tutorial. See you soon!
